How sand filter protects downstream equipment including test separators?

Sand Separator and Sand Filters are mechanical devices designed and used to remove unwanted solids and sands coming from flow steam. Sands and solids pay damage upstream equipment, especially valve and instruments. Test separator usually require sand filter or sand separator installed upstream of test separator. Test separator consists of valve and instruments which are susceptible to big size and big amount of sands and solids.
